VOLUNTEER APPLICATION

The success of the North Carolina Azalea Festival is made possible through the hard work and dedication of a large corps of community volunteers. Nearly 100 volunteer committees plan and organize events such as the Parade, the Street Fair, and the community clean-up called Azalea Sweep, as well as critical operations such as communications, transportation, sponsor relations and event hospitality.

The best way to get on one of the various committees is to start with a simple volunteer opportunity in one of the larger and more complex events where a lot of talented help is needed such as with the Parade or Street Fair.  From here you can showcase your abilities and desire to be more involved with the Festival.  If you’d like to join this special volunteer group, please complete the application by clicking on the Register button and tell us about your skills and interests. Volunteer opportunities may be available for a single day or involve a year-round commitment. We will work to get you involved in a way that you find both meaningful and enjoyable.

Communication with potential new volunteers generally occurs in the Fall, and periodically throughout Festival season (Oct-April).
